Hi Mindat!

I have posted 2 Cinnabar specimen photos that has been "pending approval" for some days--is there any explanation, or a mistake on my part? Photo ID: 683724 Thanks for your help! :-)

The Managers and Experts sometimes get pretty busy on here tending to other, more pressing issues.

Please be patient.... it will get approved, if not already. :-)

Why for approvals is not followed the chronological order of uploading? Now with photo ID number is very easy for anyone to check in what order photos are approved; Some are approved immediately and others after biblical times. Paul says, "The Managers and Experts sometimes get pretty busy on here tending to other, more pressing issues." but this should not be applied to everyone?

Someone can explain me, if exist, the reason?

Because managers will review the things they are experts in and leave other photos for other managers. So if someone who reviews your area does not log in and review as quickly those photos get processed slower.

Also realise Beppe that Managers/Experts do a lot more than just approve photos. And, sometimes the person who is tasked to review and approve photos for a particular area may be out of town on vacation, work, etc. All of the photos uploaded to Mindat will get reviewed and likely approved, it just might not be as instantaneous as we may like.

Thank you very much for the detailed explanations; This was a curiosity that I had and now I understand the complex mechanism that regulates approvals.
