Hi,

Looking for info from Margabal minerals I found that autunite/meta-autunite is not listed in the locality.

There are some comments in pictures about uranocircite as the yellow original mineral.

I have analyzed by SEM-EDS some yellow crystals of two specimens (photo attached) and no Ba present at all in results.

Please, could you publish some more info about this uranocircite.

Salut

The ref. for the uranocircite is "Le Règne Minéral, Hors Série IV, 1998" (added in 2003).

Hi,

Yes, I know, uranocircite is present in Margabal, but yellow mineral under torbernite

is it uranocircite? I have analyzed yellow parts of metatorbernite specimen.

Ok, I see.

According to the spectrum, the yellow mineral will be autunite or meta-autunite.

Autunite/meta-autunite often occurs in expitaxial intergrowths with torbernite/metatorbernite.

The specimens were found in 2014 but the reference for uranocircite is 1998, was uranocircite ever confirmed in this new find? If not then maybe this http://www.mindat.org/photo-610299.html should be relabeled torbernite ( meta?) and autunite (meta?).

Message sent.

Could be interesting to see more analysis if available...
