Identity Helpturquoise

Hello...What can anyone tell me about something being marketed as "Gold Canyon" Turquoise. New to me. Have been told it comes from China BUT also that it is mined on Az.Mex border. Please tell me whatever you can. I appreciate your time. Kate

KATE, While I don't specifically know of the turquoise type that you mention, I will say that much of the turquoise on today's market is not natural. It is either totally phony - artificial or a lookalike mineral or a powdered and blue colored dried paste. Any of a number of lookalikes can be used so become educated and still buyer beware! Above all, the sellers are clever so absolutely do not accept their "guarantee" of authentic turquoise. CHEERS……BOB

Would like to know a little more. Do you have a photo? Who is selling it? Any other info?

Hello...Thank you for your quick response... the easiest pictures that I know of are on Ebay. If you search for "Gold Canyon Turquoise", you should produce 3 listing pictures. It's being sold out of Gallup so far as I can determine. Thanks, Kate

I looked at his site and he has numerous cabs from other locations that look correct for their locations. Also a couple jewelers have pieces with Gold Canyon turq listed and they look similar so I think the location may be legit.
