It is with great sadness to report the passing of Benny Fenn from Las Cruces, New Mexico today of complications from pneumonia. He will be missed by many for supplying fine minerals from Mexico throughout the decades as Fenn's Gem and Minerals and for being a trusting and honest friend.

For Cookie & me this is truly sad news!! His little convenience store/rock shop just South of Mesilla Park was a regular stop. Our hearts go out to all of his family!

A legend passes. Benny, among many other things was the one who supplied Susie Davis with several hundred flats of the botryoidal mimetite from San Pedro Corralitos, Mun. de Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico. You could have bought the stuff for a few dollars per pound. Benny was a quiet guy, and a decent guy. I am richer for having known him.

Had a great time visiting his warehouse and chatting with him while he was cleaning another load of Choix smithsonite. Was very happy to show me his personal collection. Very nice guy who will certainly be missed.

Very sad, indeed. We had the pleasure of stopping by his shop once on a recent road trip, where we had a similar experience to Darren's, including the invitation to view his personal collection. A true gentleman, which is a rarity these days - our thoughts and payers for his family and friends.

Thank you all in the mineral world from the Fenn family. He will be missed buy many. We will continue with his mission and try to make him proud of us. His wife Elva is very sad but doing ok. Once again thank you to all his friends.

Benny Fenn truly will be missed. His knowledge and generosity was a true gift to his friends and collectors. He was always kind and helpful to me and I will always miss him,

Jane and I are disheartened to hear this news. Our thoughts are with Elva and family. Benny and Elva

were always very helpful and generous to us during our show days and continuing on to the present day.
