Does all Murchison meteorites contain murchisite, and have this sample been analysed, and in that case - where is the murchisite?


I know this is a little bit silly questions, but there are a lot of meteorite pictures being added to mindat, with several minerals, but very little descriptions and even less documentation of analyses... And I don't like it, this apear to be wild guessing or wishfull thinking, so I hope either better descriptions and documentation could be added, or managers could be more strict to let pictures being posted with this exotic mineral content...


Here is one more exampel - please tell me where the graphite is!:

Perhaps all these meteorite pictures without a single significant mineral to be spotted, should rather be posted as locality pictures?

Looks like this is opening the question for whole rock photographs on Mindat...maybe a new category for host rocks would accommodate meteorites better that site/locality pictures?

It would be best to have thin section photos with the relevant minerals labeled.
