Field CollectingMarrakech dealers

I am in Marrakech for a few days. Can anyone recommend any quality mineral specimen dealers and their locations? Preferably in the medina or the new town. I am not interested in the dyed green geodes or fossils. Thanks!

I Suggest that you contact Tomasz Praszkier of Spirifer Minerals. Tomasz is always travelling to Morocco and I am sure he may know of any, if there are in fact any in Marrakech.

I found a single fossil dealer in the main souk. Everything that looked good had some sort of repair or enhancement that the owner denied.

A few trilobites around various stalls and a few unappealing mineral specimens. Prices were very expensive and they were not interested in reasonable offers...too many gullible tourists I think. I did not buy anything.

There are no good mineral/dealers in Marrakech, only stuff for tourists
