today i have a question for all you label enthusiasts and experts.
I got an interesting example of native arsenic with galena and pyrarygite/proustite (few reddish specks) in calcite. The specimen was part of a lot of native arsenic specimens from the Harz Mts., Pribram and Schneeberg area in the Erzgebirge.
I have difficulties reading the locality on the label but have an idea which would make sense.
The label reads
Gediegen Arsenik
(Scherbenkobalt) mit
Bleiglanz, Rotgülden
und Kalkspath
von ?
I would read the locality name as "Bergmannstrost" - this is definitely possible (see http://www.mindat.org/loc-6009.html)
What do you read? And is somebody familiar with the handwriting and has an idea which collector wrote the label.
Any ideas and input appreciated.
Cheers
Roger

I concur with your reading, including the loc.
Can't help concerning the writer of these lines, I'm afraid...
Cheers, Gerhard

thanks to both of you. Will check in the atlas of course ....
Cheers
Roger
P.S. i don´t think it is Sütterlin (developed from 1911) .. IMO it is "Deutsche Kurrent"
Checked the atlas, no equivalent labels pictured.
