Can anyone help me identify these? I have had them for about 25 years since I was a little kid and have no idea what they are, but are very interesting.

First looks like smokey- rose quartze mix ?- second looks like chert,- the last maybee a flint nodule.

479.jpg: Rose quartz.

759.jpg: Chert or possibly common opal.

814.jpg: Rounded chalcedony nodule, likely an amygdule that eroded out of basalt.

I was thinking #3 looked a little like mahogany obsidian, rounded in a stream, but it's hard to tell

I think James is correct - the lower left of photo 3 looks very much like "mahogany" obsidian. Becky

Thirded on the mahogany obsidain. The campground at Plum Valley Campground in the Warner Mountains in northeastern California has very similar stream-rounded obsidain in the creek next to the campground.
