Debbie, so do I, but I would have rather liked to learn about the name from a scientific paper (type description, IMA summary) than from a dealer's homepage.

Its the Ca-analogue of Tuperssuatsiaite and visually not discriminable from T. So don't trust any specimen which isn't analysed.

Hi all,


Winhoekit IMA No. 2010-083 is a member of the Palygorskite-Group.

Windhoekit differs from other palygorskit-group not only by the presenceof Ca as a species-defining component, but also by some features of the crystal structure, as well as physikal properties.
