Have you ever bought a new hammer or tool for collecting and lost it the first time out? Yeah, I hate that.

This chisel was found within a half mile of Gold Camp Road which runs between Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek. If this is yours, send me Private Message including where and when you may have lost it, what you were digging for at the time, and any other item you may have lost with it. If there is a match I will try to return it to you.

I once almost lost a hand sledge. Placed it on top of my car at harrodsburg indiana. dunno how but i made it a few hours driving until i stopped at a wendys for food and large amounts of caffiene. Upon walking back to my station wagon I had at the time i noticed something on top. Thank god for luggage racks cuz they saved my sledge from sliding off the back and onto the highway :)-D

Looks like that tool has it's whole life ahead of it.

I've certainly lost/misplaced or otherwise become separated from a few. "Hey Jim, at this site we just claim our hole at the end of the day by leaving tools in it" Come back next morning, no tools in hole. :X

Leaved tools in an open hole or another opened geode at a mineral deposit are a sign that this place is occupied by another collector. In Europe this sign is mostly respected, especially in the Alps.

That's a nice looking chisel. I did the same but thankfully, Andy Givens found it and has it in a safe spot until I can retrieve it.

Now, if anyone finds a crack hammer in Chester County, Pa.....

Hope you hear from the owner, Dean
