Hi All You Dads out there!!

My son went with me collecting to the Buckwheat Dump, Franklin, NJ and the FOMS lecture that followed. He wanted to do something with his dad that we both enjoy...field collecting! What a fun thing to do on this Fathers Day Weekend. Get out in the field with your children, be involved in their lives and make some memories. Found a nice piece of hardystonite, a few sphalerites and some specimens of blue to pink corundum that is rarely ever found on the Buckwheat Dump.

To you as well. My son is only ten so he could not go to the Lime Crest field trip today. But he gets out of school Tuesday and we have big plans before he starts camp.

In church today the speaker asked the congregation to share things that were memorable about their fathers. My youngest son went second and said "Takes me rock collecting". That did catch me by surprise!

He likes hunting for copper-banded agates in the Keweenaw.

I had brunch with my Eldest son today, and it was nice to spend some time with my grandkids...but unfortunately none of them

are interested enough yet to collect or field trip...but patience is a good trait to exercise when dealing with such hopes and waiting for

them to start school.
