Dear people:



I would appreciate very much if somebody could inform me about in which places may I buy the mentioned minerals. I am not looking for nice specimens, no, my interest is to buy large amounts (up to 10 pounds) of them at a good price for other applications.

I am dubious whether the natural minerals are available in the quantities you mention; they're rather fragile minerals. Is there some reason the common laboratory chemicals can't be used? Is this a Texas Aggie joke?

Sal ammoniac can be bought at some electronics and/or welding supply shops, as it's used when soldering iron.



My source of Niter (Saltpeter) is a Veterinary Supply - slash - Pharmacy. I suspect it's rather unusual. I get my Lugol's Solution, Potassium Permanganate and Diatomaceous Earth there, too.
