Occurs associated with dark green diopside in the quartz diorite contact zone on the W side of the quarry. These appear to be manganiferous grossular-andradite. Paler material occurs in the quartz monzonite porphyry contact zone.

Habit:

Large dodecahedral faces bordered by narrow hexoctahedral and trapezohedral faces; also as simple dodecahedrons.
