Comments: | occurs as randomly interspersed brown-red grains in a fine-grained matrix of spessartine, rhodonite, rhodocrosite and braunite in a highly oxidized quartzitic mica-schist. The manganiandrosite-(La) described in the type description was subhedral to euhedral grains commonly with a maximum diameter of 0.02-0.06 mm (20-60 µm), and rarely up to 0.2 mm. | |
