Improved homemade photomacroscope
Last Updated: 18th Feb 2010By Pierre Houssin
You will find here the last modifications of my homemade photomacroscope.
My goal was to improve it and simplify its use.
Now, the camera is a Canon S80 wich can be totally remote controlled : you can see the live view image on your computer and control all the parameters.
This camera has an entrance pupil too deep to use my Wild x10/21 photo eyepiece : there is a lot of vignetting.
I replaced it by a Leica x10 Phot eyepiece (ref. 10 445 304) without its internal diaphragm + special tube (ref. 10 445 932).
At the bottom, I put an objective changer with low power objectives : they help me a lot to find the interesting area of the sample.
