And, after staying for sunset we left heading on to Santa Fe, but that's where our mineralogical adventures end for now. Thank you for following us over the last few weeks. The next live report will be totally different - from the PDAC mining conference in Toronto, Canada next month. If you're going let me know so we can meet up!

Jolyon,

Something odd is happening with some of the photos.  An example is the petrified wood shot.

14th Feb 2023 16:45 UTCJolyon Ralph Founder

We are fixing them as we find them, so far it seems limited to Romans phone.

15th Feb 2023 02:27 UTCRyan Hamel Manager

Thank you for the report Kevin, I have swapped out those odd photos with cropped versions.

14th Feb 2023 16:39 UTCDoug Daniels

Gosh, are they no longer displaying that huge chunk of Kelly Mine smithsonite that I remember from my days at NMT?  Shame if they aren't.  (Somewhere I have a slide of the thing, but don't know for sure where it is [recently had a major move], and I'd have to digitize it to upload it here anyway.

The caption for the Native Tellurium needs to be changed. The Lone Pine Mine is a well known source for Native Tellurium.

I was going to mention that as well. My parents live in the shadow of the Lemitar Mountains and I can guarantee they are not in Catron County. ;-)

Roman,
Your egg photo, to me, looks more like the business end of a mace.
Very interesting specimen.  Great photos.

Fantastic museum!
I assume John and Kelsey are giving you a proper tour?

14th Feb 2023 21:22 UTCJolyon Ralph Founder

They did. We are driving to White Sands now and I'm uploading more photos while Katya drives.

Jolyon

The White Sands Missile Site Gypsum seems to have an appropriate locality that also describes the specimen very well !!

I wonder how many of those "New Mexico" wood tins get misappropriated to simply "Mexico"?

Thanks for the trip photos to both you and Roman.
