The Tourmaline Queen Mine, San Diego County, California is rightly famous for the spectacular blue-cap Elbaite tourmaline crystals found there.

Many of these specimens were collected by Pala International in 1972 - including this one, one of the most famous of these is the 'Rabbit Ears' which is currently in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Here are two views of it:
