About Fluor-buergerite
Last Updated: 12th Sep 2015By Charles lee
First appeared in the Tucson show(1960s).These have long been classics and have traditionally been known simply as buergerite specimens. Nomenclature changes in 2011 brought us fluor-buergerite as it was determined that the mineral from the type locality (Mexquitic) is F-dominant. These are always in demand and the locality was lost for some time before being located by a team of geologists tasked (by the late great Miguel Romero) with finding the source of these specimens.
