Big Canyon 1 & 2
A former Cu-Pb-U-Zn occurrence/mine located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 5, T24S, R9E, SLM, along the canyon wall of a northern spur of Reds Canyon, on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). Owned & operated by the Hannert Mining Company (100%), Utah (1974). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
The ore body strikes N20E and dips 03W at a width of 0 meters (sic) and a length of 0 meters (sic). It is a tabular replacement body. Primary ore control was lithology. Wallrock alteration is unknown. Local rocks include Triassic and Jurassic sedimentary rocks in southeastern Utah.
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
