This locality is not within the Karelia Republic, but rather, it is in the Murmanskaja Oblast', at the northern shore of Lake Vuoriyarvi. It is an alkali-ultrabasite massif with dunites, pyroxenites, ijolite-melteigites, phoscorites, and carbonatites. The carbonatites are in the eastern portion of the area while the main rock facies is a pyroxenite.
