The mine is about 30 kilometres south of Marvel Loch and borders the west side of the Marvel Loch-Forrestania Road. The Golden Dream, Star of the Range, and Black Cat historic mines are a short distance north.
It was developed in 1912, by Jack Quinlan, George Halford and McDonald. Several crushings are noted from this year. In 1915, a Melbourne syndicate acquired the lease as the May Queen Company, re-naming the lease the same. It was suggested at the time this was done to confuse investors into thinking the lease was the rich May Queen mine at Marvel Loch.
No further information was found, although it was subjected to an archaeological survey in 2000, but this does not appear to be readily available.
