The Buffalo Gold Mine is about 1 kilometre south of the Parker Range Road turn-off, and is just east of the Marvel Loch-Forrestania Road. It appears the road at some point has been diverted around the location. There is a 15 metre deep open cut at the site. The mine is 600 metres north of the Spring Hill mine.
The deposit has an estimated resource of 355 000 tonnes of ore at 2.2 g/t yielding 25 400 ounces of gold, hosted by the Parker Range banded iron formation. Drilling occurred at the site late 2010.
