“This specimen came out of Casteel Mine around December 2018 or January of 2019. As if often the case with Casteel specimens, the matrix is covered in fine drusy quartz. The quartz actually forms "snowcaps" over chalcopyrite clusters, something I have seen many times from Casteel. This specimen had a lot of brown oxidation that I have cleaned off and the matrix has been trimmed to stand on its own. Unfortunately the termination on this specimen has been cleaved. I've found it difficult to find a Casteel calcite specimen with all perfect terminations. ”
