Old abandoned Hg mine, located on the left bank of Pezzea stream and part of the larger Vallalta-Sagrón mercury deposit which extends to the right bank of the same stream (Vallalta Mine, Gosaldo, Belluno Province, Veneto).

In 1850 a long gellery, known as Tarabugio or Terrabujo adit, was excavated in the territory of Sagron Mis. Other mining works in this area were performed around 1902 and a couple of years after the end of World War I.

Cinnabar crystals are very rare. Cinnabar usually appears as fine pure grains with vermillion colour and metallic lustre (the old miners called this variety "Stahlerz", i.e., steel ore), very fine pure grains with purplish-red colour and metallic lustre (the old miners called this variety "Lebererz", i.e., liver ore), and earthy brick-red masses, containing mica, quartz and gypsum as impurities (the old miners called this variety "Ziegelerz", i.e., brick ore). Cinnabar is tipically associated with calcite, and sometimes with baryte, quartz, gypsum, and chlorite. Mercury droplets have been found on cinnabar and very rarely on gypsum.
