Ancient opencast high on the south side of Wellhope Valley (not to be confused with West Allendale Wellhope) working three converging NE trending veins near their intersection with the Cowhorse West Cross Vein. The most easterly of the three NE veins was Bowman's Vein, which had a NW downthrow of at least 50ft (ca. 15 m).
