Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Katanga Copper Crescent; Zaïre
Worked for cobalt during the 1930s and early 1940s.
Massive sphaerocobaltite was relatively abundant here and for some time even mined as a cobalt ore.
The locality is also known for superb heterogenite specimens in large shiny botryoidal masses.
More recently (early 2000) some very fine brochantite specimens were found.
Located 15 km West of Kambove.
