The Urach volcanic field, also known as the Swabian tuff pipes, includes over 350 diatremes extending over an area of c. 1500 km², although the great majority are concentrated in c. 800 km² around Urach (Keller et al. 1990). The max diameter of the pipes is c. 1.2 km. Volcanic materials have been found at c. 200 occurrences, with the presence of c. 150 more indicated be geomagnetic survey.
