The mining area has relatively simple lithology and undeveloped strata, all of which are Mesozoic granite intrusions; from west to east there are plagiogranite, monzogranite, and alkali-feldspar granite, and the Chang'anpu deposit is wholly hosted in monzogranite. The orebody is stratified in space, with an E-W direction.
