Small, sporadically operated quarry in impure marble-calcsilicate marble (locally with thin layers of a galena +/- sphalerite mineralisation) and some amphibolite. An aplite vein was also observed.
Hydrothermal alteration of the sulphide grains and marble-hosted fluorapatite resulted in the formation of some rare phosphates (visible only in polished sections investigated in a SEM).

Located near Häusling, but actually in Hafnerbach municipality.

The mineralogical study of this unusual mineralisation is ongoing (Kolitsch et al.).
Mineralogically similar to the nearby Kochholz marble quarry.
