Lone Oak is an abandoned open pit, almost completely full of water, just north-east of the Paddington mine, and 100 metres east of the Goldfields Highway. A large plateau of tailings is immediately east, and smaller piles also bordering north and south. Groups of abandoned shafts exist both north and south of the location.
E.A Ford worked the mine and crushings are noted in 1936 and 1937. May 1937, its stated he had extracted to that point 67 tonnes from the 82 foot level of the underground workings, worth 30 dwt, and a further 9.5 ounces washed out before crushing. This was the only information found. The modern pit was probably developed by Norton's Paddington operations across the road, but more information is needed.
