The gold mineralisation is within sulphide veins occurring in iron rich sediments within mafic Archaean rocks. The mineral zones are 1 to 10 metres wide, dip 50 to 60 degrees east, and plunge moderately to the north. The deposit is marked by a small open pit and tailings heap at the southern end of the field, from mining 1988-1997. The mine is approximately 2 kilometres south south-west of the Eclipse/Pinnacles/Comet group of mines.
