The name historically given to the area, and after a nearby station. The gold mines stretch in a north-west to south east direction along the Gnows Nest Range, the mines largely all close to the Yalgoo to Fields Find Road. Shafts and old wooden headframes can be seen a few metres off the road at various points. The field starts approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Yalgoo at the Blaney Mine next to the Badja Station turn off. The southern most mine is the Crescent approximately 70 kilometres south-east of Yalgoo, and just north of the modern Golden Grove Mine.
