There are several distinct occurrences in the Franklin mining District. The Franklin Marble is the widespread host rock and there are several quarries that have been productive mineral specimen producers. This locality is for Franklin Marble hosted specimens for which no specific locality is known. The Franklin Zinc Mine is a separate kind of occurrence as are the Iron mines, but there is an overlap in iron mining in the zinc ore bodies.

In this occurrence, norbergite is associated with calcite, hercynite, and phlogopite."
