Adjoins the eastern side of the Wheal Maid mine sett. Located in the Camborne-Redruth-St Day district and within Gwennap parish.
Whilst East Wheal Maid (or Maiden) is shown on the 1845 map of the Gwennap district by R Symons and is depicted as having three lodes, little other information is currently available about it.
The site has 2 prominent tips on the hillside and 3 capped shafts. The tips are largely of hard, yellow rock in which minerals are quite abundant. The valley at the foot of the tips is crossed by a large tailings dam. Dec. 2022
