Sutcliffe Vein
A set of mineralized cross-veins, trending roughly east-west, which are exposed in the workings of the western extension of the Rogerley quarry. This vein system was named the "Sutcliffe Vein" in honor of Mick Sutcliffe, one of the original discoverers of the Rogerley Mine. Some good quality specimens were collected by Lindsay Greenbank and Mick Sutcliffe in the early 1970s.
A new specimen mining operation called the "Diana Maria Mine" (named after Diana Maria Bruce, joint director of UK Mining Ventures and wife of Ian Bruce) started operating on these veins in 2017.
The portal of this mine is 125 m NNW of the Rogerley Mine's main portal.
The coordinates for the various sub-localities of this mine represent the sub-surface plan locations.
