Quarries in Devonian limestones, operated by the Hartsteinwerk Frank Köster GmbH and the Steinwerke F. J. Risse GmbH.
There are actually two quarries, but they appear now as a large single operation.
Inside the quarries, carboniferous clay schists and sandstones are exposed, which are disseminated by hydrothermally formed quartz-baryte veins.
Located on the south slope of Hohe Liet mountain, about 1.5 km southeast of Warstein.
The coordinates mark the center of this area.
