Greifensteinstollen, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Erzgebirge, Sachsen, Deutschland
An adit for tin ore prospection. It was started in 1979 from a point located 2 km west of Ehrenfriedersdorf (around 1 km SW of the Greifenstein rocks) and driven northwards until the project was abandoned in 1989. At this time, it was 1.5 km long. The adit cuts the western branches of some tin-bearing veins that were worked around 3 km further east by the Sauberg Mine. Meanwhile, the remaining dumps have been completely removed.
