Granitoid-related gold deposit, hosted in Linglong gneissic granite and Guojialing granodiorite, and controlled by the Wangershan fault. The orebodies occur in veins and lenses with long downdip extensions. The ore minerals occur as fillings, replacements, crush zones, disseminations, in veinlets, and in stockworks. Gold mainly occurs in pyrite and quartz. Alterations occur widely around the gold-bearing veins, including sericite, K feldspar, and carbonate alterations. Four deposition stages are observed: (1) barren quartz, (2) pyrite-quartz, (3) base metal sulphides, and (4) carbonate minerals. The second and third stages are the most important. The deposit is interpreted as a granitoid-related magmatic hydrothermal gold deposit. Some meteoric water played a certain role in gold precipitation.
