Vein-type uranium deposit. Located 3.5 km NW of Lachaux and about 7 km NE of Puy-Guillaume.

One of the former uranium mines of the Lachaux district (from W to E): Bancherelle, Reliez, Etang de Reliez, Gagnol, Rophin, Gourniaud and Bigay (Guiollard, 2002).
