SEM image in a backscattered electrons (BSE) of termination of the larger (~0.25 mm) crystal of Parisite-(Ce). A lot of well formed hexagonal dipyramidal prismatic xls of later Parisite-(Ce) overgrow its surface. Composition of the mineral is Ca0,93(Ce1,10La0,78Nd0,14Pr0,05)2,07[CO3]3(F0,57(OH)0,36O0,07)1,00. Look the next image and you'll be surprised! Collected by Germano Fretti. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and photo.

SEM image of the same place of termination of the larger (~0.25 mm) crystal of Parisite-(Ce) in a secondary electrons (SE). Here you can to observe real shape of the surface. As we can to see it almost completely covered by crust of microscopic flakes of Sepiolite. Collected by Germano Fretti. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and photo.
