A tiny tan prismatic 8mm barite crystal growing on the typical spiky dog tooth colemanite from Boron. Specimen has two sides cut by a diamond saw. Jim Minette gave me the specimen. Barite from Boron is quite rare. I have seen less than a dozen specimens of it from Boron. But in the final analysis, who cares. Jim Minette was the mine manager at Boron. The scale under the specimen is an inch with a rule at one cm.
