“Sharp, lustrous, colorless scalenohedra of calcite richly coating a fine-grained dark grey matrix. The calcites are up to 1 cm in length and many look almost serrated due to the tiny compound growths. Very little damage, only around edges from extraction.
Don Windeler collection, acquired 2021 from Jack Crowley. Crowley personally collected the piece in 1983 from an adit in which there was an old water course that was filled with cave type calcite, including many helictites, as well as crystalline calcite. ”
