The main “lettuce head” of rinkite spans ~ 2¾ mm. Found May 1996. MOB coll. The calcite “needles” fluoresces yellow SW. According to Horváth et al (Min Rec 1998), the LW response should be orange/yellow but I always see pretty much the same response SW & LW. Differences in perception? UV source? The associated minerals are microcline (white plates) and aegirine (dark green needles). There is a stereo child photo.
