“Specimen Size: 11.0 x 7.5 x 3.0 cm. Largest Crystal: 2.2 cm. One of the finest Cerussite specimens from the famous "Amethyst Lode" in Creede. The piece hosts dozens of rather lustrous, chalk white color, thick, "jackstraw" Cerussite needles neatly oriented into somewhat of a bird's nest-like group sitting on grey and iron-stained Quartz matrix.
The specimen was pictured (in black and white) on page 296 of the Mineralogical Record, Colorado Issue, Volume 7, Number 6, Nov-Dec 1976.
