Described as a "quartz after stibnite" this peculiar specimen does indeed have the overall form of a burst of large stibnite crystals. It looks as if the stibnite was encased in quartz and then replaced. Hematite gives the specimen its reddish hue. A pseudomorph of an epimorph? I have several other stibnite and quartz specimens from the same mine (Dachang) with the stibnite partially or entirely encased in quartz. Wacky!
