I was born in Belgium in 1988. I grew up there, then studied physics and now work as researcher in polar oceanography. I have been collecting minerals since I received my first specimen from my dad when I was a young boy. As a teenager, I started attending mineral shows in Belgium. I discovered Mindat.org more of less at the same time I received my first salary five years ago. These two events reignited my passion for minerals. Mindat.org encouraged me to catalog my collection in details, while the new incomes allowed to buy specimens I could only dream of as a kid.

Today, my collection consists of 140 specimens. It is mainly focused on three groups of minerals: the secondary copper minerals, the secondary lead minerals and the other minerals of the phosphates-arsenates-vanadates group. Two other subsets correspond to a few specimens of sentimental value and to a number of great specimens that I purchased earlier and that I cannot resign myself to sell. Overall, I privilege aesthetic, undamaged and colorful pieces. Specimens showing one single crystal on matrix are my favorites.

I have attended mineral shows in Belgium for years. I recently started to be a dealer at some of these shows as well, partly to maintain the size of my collection under control. I had the opportunity to go to Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines in 2013 and I went to Tucson for the first time (but certainly not the last !) in early 2016.
