The snake material we studied was collected at the Talisma locality, which is considered by some authors as belonging to the Huayquerian- Montehermosan (Late Miocene/Pliocene) because of the presence of the rodents Potamarchus murinus and Neopliblema horridula (Santos et al., 1993; Negri, 2004).
