Name:
After vauxite and the ferric content of the mineral.
An oxidized equivalent of vauxite. Also the lower hydrate equivalent of sigloite (the heptahydrate). Forms oxidation pseudomorphs after vauxite. Chemically similar to yet another Fe3+-Al phosphate, cacoxenite.
