The name ferropedrizite has been used for a hypotethical end member amphibole mineral with the formula Li2(LiFe2+2Fe3+Al)Si8O22(OH)2. Ferro-pedrizite has been redefined to the current definition in the 2012 amphibole nomenclature. Formally approved in 2014 (IMA 2014-037) from Sangilen Upland, Sutlug Valley, Targi River Basin, Tuva Republic, Eastern Siberian Region, Russia (50º00’20’’N, 96º37’40’’E)
