Granite pegmatite, Alstead field.
On 24 May 1924, Jehiel White (b. 1859~60, d. 23 Apr 1943) leased mineral rights to the Golding-Keene Company of Keene, New Hampshire, for 10 years (Cheshire County Registry of Deeds Book 412 Page 354). "Jehiel" is the correct spelling of the Biblical name and is used on the lease, US Census, etc. Cameron et al. (1954) state that the mineral rights were owned by Jehial (sic) White of Gilsum and were leased in 1942-43 by Arthur Whitcomb of Keene.
